Think back on your life experience. How does it shape your view of the world? How does it determine with whom you interact and with whom you don’t? How might your worldview seep into the decisions you make at work? Created in collaboration with Stanford’s d.school, participants learn how to leverage their innate creativity to counteract their innate biases. Not your typical unconscious bias training, participants learn to recognize and address bias traps in their daily work and interactions. Learn to identify and address biases. Develop the skills to identify, address, and discuss biases at the individual and team level. This workshop is the perfect blend of research and science plus proactive tools to counteract bias and advance inclusion.

Amy Lazarus

Amy Lazarus is the Founder and CEO InclusionVentures. InclusionVentures helps organizations bring out the best in their people so that, together, they can bring their world-changing ideas to life. Amy is a master facilitator who consults on strategy, unconscious bias, productive workplace culture, employee engagement, and helping companies make their products and research processes more inclusive. In addition to numerous household-name global companies, speaking engagements include adidas, The Obama White House, Clinton Global Initiative University, the World Economic Forum in Davos, and TEDx.

Born and raised in a diverse community where it was “cool” to try out for the high school’s race relations dialogue group, Amy holds a bachelor’s from Duke University and a Masters in Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon’s Heinz School. Amy is cited in Forbes, Bloomberg Businessweek, The Washington Post, Barrett Seaman’s Binge: What Your College Student Won’t Tell You, Robert Thompson’s Beyond Reason and Tolerance: The Promise and Practice of Higher Education, and Adam Smiley Poswolsky’s The Breakthrough Speaker, and wrote a chapter in Dialogue Theories Volume II. Recipient of numerous awards for diversity and social justice, Amy is World Economic Forum Global Shaper, TEDx speaker, and serves on the boards of Coro National and the Harwood Institute of Public Innovators. Amy lives in Oakland, California; practices tai chi; and has sung backup for Aretha Franklin

Hosan Lee

Hosan Lee is passionate about building the mechanisms that allow communities and networks to achieve their fullest social, economic, and political potential. She is an Innovator-in-Residence at InclusionVentures, a Fellow and Global Ambassador for the RSA, and her transdisciplinary background bridges the worlds of design, technology, startups, advertising, and media. Hosan has been featured in press outlets like the Financial Times, Fortune, and Forbes for innovation at the intersection of technology and race, social cohesion, social change, and empathy. After graduating from the Johns Hopkins University, she received her design education from the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles and Central St. Martins in London.
