ABOUT
Erik Hekman is a researcher at “Human Experience & Media Design”, a research group at HU University of Applied Sciences in Utrecht, The Netherlands. With backgrounds in Computer Science and Media Technology, he bridges the domains of technology, media, and society. Together with Aletta Smits, Erik has developed the master program Data-driven Design where he is one of the coordinators. With their students, they design data-driven concepts that are both practically applicable and rigorously rooted in academic research. The main focus of his research lies on how public values can be safeguarded by technology.v
