Speaker delivering talk to busy room

25+ inspiring talks

Speakers from all over Europe (and beyond!) volunteer their time to speak as part of EuroIA. They share case studies, methodology and practice gleaned from their experience as digital professionals. All speakers go through a blind review process before final selection by the EuroIA co-chairs.

Community organised

Unlike others, the EuroIA conference is volunteer organised by the European Information Architecture community. That means we focus on providing the best experience for attendees in terms of programming, activities and informal networking. We also work with Kunverj for logistical and operational support.

Shopify have gone above and beyond to sponsor an additional 10 tickets on top of the places funded through community donations. We care about increasing diversity and inclusion within the EuroIA community and are deeply grateful to Shopify in helping us do this.

CONFERENCE THEME

Hope: Foundations for preferable futures

We believe that to create a better world, our community needs two things:

  • Hope: A positive outlook, stories of success and belief that we can help improve the world around us.
  • Foundations: Strong practices and pragmatism to help build foundations for the future.

Digital & Distributed

An online conference that respects home-working context

With the ongoing need to socially distance coupled with uncertain travel restrictions, we took the decision to make EuroIA an online conference for 2020. We consulted the community on what form this could take through a detailed survey. We’re hopeful that what we’ve come up with minimises pressure to “go to everything” and gives attendees choice to absorb much of the content in their own time.
