Code of Conduct

All attendees, speakers, sponsors and volunteers at our conference are required to agree with the following code of conduct. Organisers will enforce this code throughout the event. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everybody.

EuroIA is a conference for an international community of professionals. It is completely volunteer-run, with operational support from KUNVERJ as the official organiser.

Our community is diverse and inclusive, and we are dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. Treat every person respectfully. Be considerate. Be nice.

We do not accept harassing behaviour, such as offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events. Inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention is absolutely forbidden, as is the presentation of sexual content/language that is not directly relevant to the message being shared. If you feel you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please do the following – and in this order:

  1. Ask the offending person to cease and desist.
  2. Notify a KUNVERJ official or the conference staff, who will assist you, so you feel safe and the issue at hand is resolved.
  3. Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.

We reserve the right to take any actions we deem necessary to enforce this code of conduct, including verbal warnings or removing participants from the conference without refund.

If you have experienced something at EuroIA that you feel violates this code of conduct (whether that be personally or as a witness), do not hesitate to let us know so we can take appropriate action. We are listening, and will do what we can.

Following receipt of a complaint, the conference co-chairs will meet with their Kunverj representative at the earliest opportunity to discuss the information presented. They will then be in touch with the complainant to offer support and discuss any necessary action.
