Registrations Open!

Early bird tickets for EuroIA 2020 are now available for €149! Each ticket will include:

• Attendance at one workshop
• Access to all talk content
• Access to special social and networking events

You will be able to buy additional workshops closer to the event, as we take registrations, measure demand and create the full schedule. You can register here.

Speakers and Workshops

Reviewing and selecting sessions for the EuroIA programme is always a challenging task. We’d like to thank our volunteer review panel for all the work they did to help us make our decisions.

We’ve now added details of speakers and workshops to the website. This list will grow in the coming weeks, as we announce our Keynote speakers and further develop the digital schedule.

EuroIA Advisory Board

EuroIA has, and always will be, a community of practice that comes together and furthers Information Architecture as a discipline.

In order to provide advice and continuity from conference to conference, an advisory board has been established. Members of the board are drawn from the community and have all co-chaired the conference at some point. 

We (the 2020 co-chairs) feel this is an important evolution for EuroIA and works to ensure the community can continue to flourish and grow.

A New URL and Domain

Whilst establishing the advisory board, we have also been working to consolidate the EuroIA digital estate and bring it into a single place. As part of this consolidation, the decision was taken to move from a .org to a .eu domain. Many thanks to advisory board members Oana Secara and Konstantin Weiss for their hard work on this!

We hope you’re as excited as we are for the 2020 conference. We’ll be in touch with more updates in the coming weeks as we announce our Keynote speakers and share the detailed schedule.

Hello everyone!

Firstly, apologies for the radio silence. We hope you all understand that amidst the events of the past few months, updating this website dropped down our priority list.

We’re looking forward to bringing the EuroIA community together in September. a quick summary of where we’re up to as of June 16:

• We’ve completed a consultation on what “Going Digital” might mean.
• Workshops have been shortlisted. We are working with the workshop facilitators to reshape them for a digital-first format.
• The final talk reviews are in progress with the co-chairs. We expect to contact those shortlisted for inclusion in the very near future.

As we confirm our final programme, we’ll be fitting into a format built on the feedback you can hear about below. We’ve already taken some high level decisions:

1. Less content, more connection: We know that immersing yourself in the content of a conference will be harder when you’re not “there”. So we’re focusing on offering a tight selection of quality content, whilst also getting creative with activities that will help the community stay connected.
2. Respecting your time: Let’s be honest, we’re more tied to our screens than ever. For that reason we don’t want to create unnecessary amounts of FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) by making it impossible for you to watch everything. For this reason we’ve spread the conference out over a full week. Hopefully this will help us all find a good balance between work, home and community commitments.
3. A reduced cost: We can’t say exactly what this is yet, but we know the cost will be significantly reduced on the standard conference fee.
